Regarding the Creepiness in Diablo 3

This is for the folks who don't find the current beta palatable with regard to its darkness and traditional creepy feel.

I initially felt the same way a little bit, but I quickly realized that this is only a part of Act 1. It's just the beginning where we're coddled and introduced to the game; we have yet to venture deeper down the dark, foul rabbit hole. There's still plenty more to explore. Blizz surely knows the recipe by now, so I trust things will be fine... better even. Also, aside from the creepiness, the thrills and scares will surely come too. For example, if I didn't already see the preview video of that huge demon beast boss fight where it crashes into the scene and starts trampling and gobbling-up adventurers, I definitely would've soiled myself right there, lol (I wish I hadn't of watched it and spoiled things.).

Also, in my opinion, I believe the new color palette and artistic style are great. It's nice to be able to actually see things clearly and not have everything be very dark, desaturated, and drab. It's a fine balance of the things and I think it's doing well so far. And again, things will probably get even darker as we get deeper into the game and venture away from Tristram.
